Hello. I have the Farnsworth Munsell 100 Hue Test. The test is spec'd
to be taken under D65 illumination. I have GTI viewing booths with the
GTI D50 bulbs. Has anyone used this test under this viewing
illuminant? I'm hoping that this will be close enough to D65 to
administer the test without significant error.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Do you have bulbs or (more likely) fluorescent tubes ?
It's perhaps possible to replace tubes by Type F1, F5, F7, as
described here:

In my humble opinion, it would depend on the purpose of the test,
whether D50 could be used instead of D65.

Hello Ken,

The FM100 test uses Munsell papers matched for illuminant C. D65 is
pretty close and is more common, but while the color differences are
small, they are not metameric so you should be able to view them under
the GTI D50 lamp light.

Worse case is that you loose some senitivity in the blue-green and
gain some in the yellow-red.
