at one time I was a member of the US communist party

I now see that this is a utopian idea that gets corrupt in large scale
implementations, maybe Cuba will succeed

now I am a capitalist

all I ask from capitalism is

1) defense in its many forms including moderate environmentalism
2) one EQUAL safety net with vocational/economic guidance/training
3) equal rights under the law
4) a law the people can understand
5) separation of church and state

And how is this related to photography, comrade?

Men make their own history, but they do not make it as they please; they
do not make it under self-selected circumstances, but under
circumstances existing already, given and transmitted from the past.

Welcome to the democratic party. I'm not a member, but you'll never
get those qualities from the other side.

Welcome to the democratic party. I'm not a member, but you'll never

Number 4 you'll never get from either side. The Republicans at least
have the grace to recognize this and try to address it by minimizing the
quantity of new laws enacted.
