Hi,

here is an update to my free idea ...

instead of creating brushes in painting software and using a single
electronic pen/pad with the software brushes ...

... use actual art brushes/instruments ...

... and actual colorant selection ...

.... all you would need is a pad with the right sensitivity ...

... and instead of adjusting the sensitivity of the pad ... create a
pad where you can "slide"" in the substrate you want to use ...

... an example I can envision is real time watercolor art computer
input

the pad would have to be a CIECAM scanner to get the colorant input

sure ... you could just use regular art and a digital camera ...

but accurate digital capture might not be modern enough ...
yes, I know the term "enough" applies, but my free idea has the
benefit of related tinkeriing

I tinkered a little myself ...

1) use software colorant selection and software substrate selection
2) make the pad input device have the sensitivity for the substrate
selections
3) no need for camera/scanner

some more tinkering ...

keep 1,3

update 2 to account for "blending" colorants/substrates like
watercoloring

you can still use art brush/pencil/utensil instead of electronic input
pens

It is your idea, and I say you should go for it, but first I think you should take a look at this done with ArtStudio on an iPad Mini a few years ago. Let us know what you think.

ArtStudio Pro<https://www.luckyclan.com/apps/artstudiopro-ios> Just $11.99 for iOS, or $39.99 for macOS.

for the price what could I say? If you can paint with your fingers you
can probably use a regular brush too

I don't have macOS and I am not so swift with fingers on iOS

Thanks much though!
